Process
Single super phosphate is a highly demanded fertilizer mostly used at the time of preparation of land. It comprises of 16% water soluble phosphate which is readily accepted by the crops. The fertilizer effectiveness of SSP remains unquestioned. In fact, it has become a standard of comparison for other fertilizers.
The company will plan to supply high quality Single Super Phosphate, that are known cost-effective.
Manufacturing of Single Super Phosphate is based on the simplest chemical reaction amongst chemical fertilizers. The major raw materials required are rock phosphate and sulphuric acid. The Rock Phosphate contains Tri Calcium Phosphate which is insoluble in water.
Advantages of SSP Fertilizer:
- Provides 15% of total phosphate requirement of the country.
- Lowest price per kg, preferred by small and marginal farmers.
- Multi-nutrient fertilizer containing P2O5 as primary nutrient and Sulphur and Calcium as secondary nutrients.
- It is the cheapest source of Sulphur for the soil.
- Only phosphatic fertilizer which can utilize Indian rock phosphate deposits.
- Least foreign exchange per unit of P2O5.
- Utilizes acid effluent from other chemical industry and thus reduces nation's cost of effluent disposal.
Brief about the SSP Plant
The company is in plan to establish 200 MT SSP Plant. The process of manpower placement to operate this plant is in progress. In the near future the plant will fully in operational mode.
